Diksmuide har 14 landdistrikter. Hver landsby har sin egen sognekirke og en landlig karakter, der udstråler en bestemt charme over politidistrikterne. Der er kunstneriske perler imellem. Et særligt tilfælde er den markant farvede ortodokse kirke fra Klosteret ifølge russisk ritus nær Oostkerke. Abbeden, fader Thomas, giver forklaring om deres ritus og de mange ikoner. Pænt tøj ønskes.
