Den kendte og vigtige Ardennerflod Ourthe dannes af sammensmeltningen af den Vestlige og den Østlige Ourthe. Denne sammensmeltning er diget op og danner således Nisramont-dæmningen. Den Vestlige Ourthe udspringer nær Libramont, flyder i nordøstlig retning mod Amberloup og videre til Lavacherie, hvor den først rigtig trænger ind i de store skove mellem Saint-Hubert og La Roche-en-Ardenne.
