Den neogotiske Vor Frue Kirke i Leffinge blev bygget fra 1877 til 1879. Den erstattede en nedslidt romansk-gotisk forgænger. Initiativtageren var den brugske biskop Faict, der var fra Leffinge.
De 13 tårne på bygningen henviser til hans fødselsår (1813). Også i kirken i Leffinge støder vi på tempelridderne...
Det er sådan, at familien de Fauquemberghes, dengang magtfuld adel, havde alteret og tiende fra sogn Leffinge i lån fra greven af Flandern. Denne familie havde tætte bånd til tempelridderne.
Endda var en af deres forfædre medstifter af tempelordenen. I middelalderen blev kirkens tårn brugt til at opbevare vedtægterne for Kamerlings Ambacht og vandløbet.
