Hofstetten er en bydel i kommunen Elgg i den schweiziske kanton Zürich. Indtil 31. december 2017 udgjorde den en selvstændig politisk kommune.
Den tidligere kommune Hofstetten omfatter også landsbyerne Dickbuch, Jakobstal, Geretswil, Huggenberg, Tiefenstein, Scheunberg, Steig og Wenzikon. Dickbuch, Hofstetten, Huggenberg, Geretswil og Wenzikon var indtil 1928 selvstændige civilkommuner.
