Estavayer-le-Lac er en lokalitet og en tidligere kommune i Schweiz i kantonen Fribourg, hovedbyen i distriktet Broye.
Selvom de arkæologiske udgravninger er meget få, kan det fastslås, at kommunens område har været beboet af mennesker allerede fra mesolitikum. Beboelsen langs kysterne er tæt i neolittisk tid og slutningen af bronzealderen. I de andre perioder har søens niveau fortrængt etableringen af bosættelser på højderne. Undersøgelserne fra motorvejen A1 afslører mange spor af protohistorisk beboelse og flere bosættelser. Grave blev udgravet, og deres inventar vidner måske om en bosættelse fra højmiddelalderen. Navnet på sognets patron, Sankt Laurent, antyder skabelsen af et sted for tilbedelse allerede på dette tidspunkt.
