Den schweiziske føderale atomtilsynsmyndighed er Schweiz' regulerende tilsynsmyndighed for atom sikkerhed og sikkerhed for atominstallationer; den fører tilsyn med kernekraftværkerne i Beznau, Gösgen, Leibstadt og Mühleberg, forskningsreaktorerne ved Paul Scherrer Instituttet, Universitetet i Basel og Det Schweiziske Fæderale Teknologiske Institut, samt det schweiziske nationale centrale interimopbevaringsanlæg for radioaktivt affald. ENSI's hovedkvarter ligger i Brugg i kantonen Aargau.
På sin side er ENSI under tilsyn af ENSI's bestyrelse: dette organ vælges af det schweiziske forbundsråd, som det rapporterer direkte til.
