Bingen am Rhein er en stor kommune i Mainz-Bingen i Rheinland-Pfalz.
Det oprindelige navn på bosættelsen var Bingium, et keltisk ord eventuelt for "hul i klippen", betegnelsen for den lavvandede område bag Musetårnet, kendt som Binger Loch. Bingen var udgangspunktet for Ausoniusvejen, en romersk militærvej, der forbandt byen med Trier. Bingen er kendt blandt andet for historien om Binger Musetårnet, hvor den Mainz' erkebiskop Hatto angiveligt blev ædt af mus. I 2008 var Bingen vært for den tredje rheinland-palatinske haveudstilling efter Kaiserslautern og Trier.
