Hettstedt er en by i det østlige Harz-fodområde i Landkreis Mansfeld-Südharz, Sachsen-Anhalt, cirka 40 km nordvest for Halle. Byen er kendt for den tidligere kobbermine og en stadig betydelig non-jern-metallurgi.
Hettstedt ligger i Forbundsrepublikken Tyskland i delstaten Sachsen-Anhalt, cirka 50 km syd for delstatshovedstaden Magdeburg og cirka 40 km nordvest for Halle. Hettstedt ligger ved den sydøstlige kant af Harz ved Wipper.
