Schering Aktiengesellschaft er et af forgængerselskaberne til Bayer Pharma. Schering var indtil overtagelsen af Bayer i 2006 et selvstændigt, børsnoteret medicinalfirma med mere end 25.000 medarbejdere i 160 datterselskaber verden over og med ca. 5,3 mia. Euro i omsætning. Hovedkontoret lå i Berlin-Wedding.
De største tyske produktionssteder lå i Bergkamen, Berlin og Weimar.
