Carwitz er en del af kommunen Feldberger Seenlandschaft i Landkreis Mecklenburgische Seenplatte i Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, lige ved grænsen til Brandenburg. Carwitz er en statsligt anerkendt ferieby.
Stednavnet stammer fra det oldpolabiske ord Karva for ko. Navnet ændrede sig fra Carwytze til det nuværende Carwitz.
