I de sidste krigsuger blev det jødiske ægtepar Max og Ines Krakauer skjult i præstegården af præstefruen Hildegard Spieth.
I denne præstegård overlevede det jødiske ægtepar Max og Ines Krakauer de sidste krigsdage. I over 20 måneder havde begge været skjult i Württemberg. Til sidst gav Stettens præstefrue Hildegard Spieth dem, på bekostning af sit liv, et fristed her indtil den amerikanske hærs fremmarch den 21. april 1945.
