Royan [rwa.jɑ̃] er en sydvestfransk by med 18.419 indbyggere i Département Charente-Maritime i regionen Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Byen tilhører arrondissementet Rochefort. Royan ligger ved Atlanterhavet, ved trichtermundingen af Gironde. De nærmeste større byer er Saintes og Rochefort, Bordeaux ligger cirka 120 kilometer sydøstligt. Mellem Royan og Le Verdon-sur-Mer er der en færgeforbindelse over den ca. 15 kilometer brede mundingstragt.
