Lugdunum Convenarum, bogstaveligt talt « bakken af gud Lug fra Convenerne », er det navn, der i dag normalt gives til en vigtig antik by fra det aquitano-romerske i det sydvestlige Gallien, som svarer til den nuværende landsby Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges. I 72 f.Kr. vender Pompejus tilbage fra Spanien for at hjælpe Metellus med at bekæmpe en anden tidligere romersk general, Sertorius, forræderen der ønskede at tage sin uafhængighed. Sertorius bliver myrdet af en af sine løjtnanter, M. Perperna Vento. For at stabilisere sine nu ubrugelige tropper skulle Pompejus have grundlagt et fort på Lugdunum Convenarum, en befæstning på dette naturlige oppidum. Byen skulle blive et centrum for romaniseringen af hele denne region og bidrage til at stabilisere de aquitano-romerske befolkninger.
