Abteikirken fra det 11. til 17. århundrede er et smukt eksempel på romansk kunst, som er påvirket af Saintonge og Poitou: Ambulatorium, ottekantet klokketårn, højkvalitets skulpturdekoration. Abbediet blev grundlagt i det 11. århundrede af Wilhelm VIII. af Aquitanien og husede i det 12. århundrede et fællesskab, der var underlagt den hellige Augustins orden. Det blev flere gange ødelagt (Hundredeårskrigen, religionskrige), genopbygget i det 18. århundrede og solgt som nationalgods i 1792. I sommermånederne vises forskellige værker.
