Pontedera er en by med 29.647 indbyggere i den italienske region Toscana. Den tilhører provinsen Pisa og er et af regionens industrielle centre. Pontedera er kendt som den vigtigste produktionssted for motorcykelproducenten Piaggio.
Pontedera ligger ved udløbet af floden Era i Arno, cirka halvvejs mellem Pisa og Empoli. Nabokommunerne er Calcinaia, Capannoli, Casciana Terme Lari, Cascina, Montopoli i Val d’Arno, Palaia, Ponsacco og Santa Maria a Monte.
