Boterdiep er en kanal i provinsen Groningen, der strækker sig fra havnen i Uithuizen til Van Starkenborghkanalen ved Noorderhoogebrug. Kanalen er 25 km lang. Kanalen skulle have fået sit navn fra transporten af mejeriprodukter.
Kanalen blev anlagt i det 17. århundrede. Ved anlægget blev der gjort så meget brug som muligt af eksisterende vandløb. Den ældste del, forbindelsen fra Bedum til Groningen, stammer fra 1625. I 1660 blev det forlænget til Kantens.
