Chevremont er oprindeligt en landsby i kommunen Kerkrade. I det 21. århundrede udgør det et kvarter af Kerkrade. Navnet Chevremont stammer fra en fejlagtig fransk oversættelse af det latinske cavatum montem, hvilket frit oversat betyder stejl bakke med nedkørsel til den hule vej. Omkring 1363 bliver området Chevremont, Schaveymont omtalt. Chevremont ligger på Kerkrades Plateau. Øst for Chevremont ligger Berenbos, hvor resterne af en steinberg fra Domanialmine, Steinberg Beerenbosch, findes.
