Die Marktgemeinde Bad Schwanberg mit 4471 Einwohnern liegt im Bezirk Deutschlandsberg in der Weststeiermark. Im Rahmen der steiermärkischen Gemeindestrukturreform ist sie seit Anfang 2015 mit den ehemaligen Gemeinden Hollenegg, Gressenberg und Garanas zusammengeschlossen und führte bis Ende 2019 den Namen Schwanberg weiter. Grundlage dafür ist das Steiermärkische Gemeindestrukturreformgesetz – StGsrG.
