Im bezaubernden Almdorf Eng (mit Schaukäserei), wird es manchmal eng, weil es aufgrund der landschaftlichen Schönheit viele Besucher und Touristen anzieht. Hinter den letzten Gebäuden in der Eng beginnt der breite Fußweg zur Falkenhütte und schon bald ist man wieder allein unter Bergsteigern. Durch Wiesen und Mischwald geht es sanft hinauf zum Hohljoch auf 1.794 Meter. Obwohl man nicht gerne Höhenmeter verliert, leitet der Weg noch einmal abwärts auf 1.700 Meter durch die Laliderer Reisen. Das Auf und Ab ist hier vor allem fürs Auge reizvoll. Anschließend zieht der Weg sanft nach oben zum Spielissjoch und zur stattlichen Falkenhütte. Etappenziel erreicht!
