Die Stadt Hechtel-Eksel in der nordlimburgischen Provinz plant einen kreisförmigen Radweg in einem Wald, der Radfahrer hinauf zu den Baumkronen führen wird. Es ist eine ähnliche Idee wie bei Baumwipfelpfaden, die Fußgänger einladen, auf Brücken zu gehen, die sich an den Baumkronen entlang schlängeln. Solche Attraktionen sind besonders in afrikanischen Wäldern beliebt. Der Baumwipfel-Radweg wird 10 Meter hoch und 700 Meter lang sein.
