Oevel ist ein Dorf in der belgischen Provinz Antwerpen und eine Teilgemeinde von Westerlo. Oevel war bis zur Gemeindereform von 1977 eine selbständige Gemeinde. 1189 fiel das Patronatsrecht von Oevel an die Abdij von Tongerlo, die erst 1625 wieder einen eigenen Pfarrer erhielt. 1315 wurde zum ersten Mal eine Schöffenbank erwähnt. Oevel gehörte zum Land von Geel.
