Monumentale Mühle, prägend für die Umgebung und ein Orientierungspunkt von Turnhout. Oberschlägermühle mit Backsteintrog, bestehend aus vier Etagen, unten stark beschädigt, abgerundetes Dach; früher als Kornmühle, Öl (Schmalz)- und Rindermühle genutzt. Erwähnung circa im vierten Viertel des 14. Jahrhunderts einer hölzernen Standardmühle, Eigentum des Schlosses Turnhout; früher mit umwalltem Mound, verbunden mit dem Graben "meirgoren"; 1462 ersetzt durch eine neue Standardmühle mit Rossmühle; nach dem Brand von circa 1776.
