Die Sevensmolen, die um 1745 in Helchteren gebaut wurde, steht heute im Heesakkerpark. Dies ist der höchste Punkt von Overpelt.
Es ist eine Standard- oder Bockmühle . Das bedeutet, dass sich der gesamte Mühlenkasten um eine riesige Holzspindel dreht, die auf gemauerten Würfeln montiert ist.
Dieses System stellt sicher, dass die Rotorblätter gegen den Wind gestellt werden können. Die Mühle funktioniert noch .
1853 wurde er ins Zentrum von Overpelt verlegt. Bis in die späten 1950er-Jahre ließen hier ortsansässige Bauern ihr Getreide mahlen. Die Gemeinde kaufte die Mühle 1962 und ließ sie zwei Jahre später in den neuen Park Heesakkerheide verlegen. Restaurierungen folgten 1964 und 1989. Betrieben wird die Mühle vom vzw Levende Molens Noord-Limburg.
