Das Blaue Tor ist das einzige verbliebene von sieben Eingangstoren rund um das Burggelände von Ooidonk. Sie wird auch „Porta arboreti“ genannt.
Das Tor stammt aus der Zeit um 1595 , die heutige Struktur soll jedoch aus der Zeit um 1864 stammen. Das Dachgeschoss des Eingangstors diente früher als Taubenturm.
Früher war die Taubenhaltung ein Privileg. Da Tauben das Getreide fraßen, war ihre Zahl begrenzt. Nur der wohlhabende Bürger erhielt das Recht, Tauben zu halten. Die Taubenschläge von einst sind echte Gebäude.
