Das Palais Forestier ist das Werk des Brüsseler Architekten Henri Van Massenhove und wurde 1901 erbaut .

Nachdem 1891 beschlossen wurde, die entmilitarisierte Zone der Zitadelle in einen Ferienort und das riesige Plateau des Schlosses in einen bewundernswerten Park umzuwandeln , durchzogen von schönen Spazierwegen, übersät mit Rastplätzen, Hainen, Kiosken...
Einige Jahre später wurde das Palais Forestier in diesen Plan einbezogen. Es wurde 1901 anlässlich eines regionalen Landwirtschaftswettbewerbs (der im Rahmen einer internationalen Ausstellung veranstaltet wurde) zur Unterbringung der Abteilungen Wasser und Forst sowie Jagd und Fischerei erbaut. Es blieb als einziges Gebäude der Ausstellung erhalten und sollte später in ein Forstmuseum umgewandelt werden .

Nachdem das Gebäude am Ende des Mietvertrags wiederhergestellt war, begann die Stadt Namur mit der Suche nach einem neuen Zweck und das neue Hochzeitszentrum wurde 2008 eingeweiht.
