Infrabel hat in Herstal stark in die Schließung von Bahnüberwegen investiert. Dabei ging es um einen Fußgängerübergang. Damit kann man fast entlang der Gleise von Milmort bis ins Zentrum von Lüttich fahren oder gehen. Nur fehlen hier und da Stücke, alles zusammen vielleicht 1000 Meter.
Die Rue du Bériwa könnte dabei einen Platz finden. Diese Straße hieß auf der Karte von 1841 Beau Roua. Der Roua war ein Bach. Aber 1841 war der schöne Roua oder Rida schwarz vom Kohleschlamm. Heute liegt dieses Flüsschen unterirdisch. Gerade vor dem Weg, der unter den Gleisen hindurchführt, hatte man bei der Anlage des Bahndamms im Jahr 1860 einen Abwasserkanal einer Mine zugenagelt. Nach einem Wassereinbruch stand die Baustelle unter Wasser.
