Das Fagne de Malchamps ist ein ausgedehntes Moorgebiet auf einem Plateau in der Nähe von Spa.
Der höchste Punkt liegt bei 576 Metern. Der Bergrücken, auf dem das Plateau liegt, bildet eine Barriere für die häufigsten Südwestwinde.
Feuchte Luft wird dadurch gezwungen aufzusteigen, kondensiert und bildet Niederschlag.
Das Fagne de Malchamps ist daher eines der nassesten Gebiete Belgiens, was unter anderem auch die lokale Moorvegetation erklärt.
