Kurzer Spaziergang im Hallerbos, der sich sehr gut für Kinder eignet. Das Hallerbos ist mit dem Zoniënwoud, dem Meerdaalwoud und dem Buggenhout-Wald einer der letzten Überreste eines ursprünglichen Urwaldes. Ein großer Teil des Hallerbos besteht aus wunderschönen Buchen. Aber die meisten Bäume sind noch nicht so alt aufgrund der stürmischen Geschichte des Waldes. Während des Ersten Weltkriegs ließ der deutsche Besatzer fast alle großen Bäume fällen und der Wald wurde beinahe zerstört. Glücklicherweise kann man ihn jetzt noch in vollen Zügen genießen.
