Die ursprüngliche Route auf der Website von Reisroutes beginnt in Waregem. Aufgrund des einfachen Parkens und der Erreichbarkeit habe ich diese Route angepasst und in Anzegem starten lassen. Für die "abgebrannte" Kirche von Anzegem gibt es einen schönen Parkplatz, um das Auto abzustellen. Die Stijn Streuvelsroute ist von dort aus ca. 48 km lang und weist 257 Höhenmeter auf. Angesichts der doch recht hügeligen Landschaft ist sie ideal für E-Biker. Aber auch ein geübter Radfahrer kann diese Tour wunderbar genießen. Industrielle (Umgebung von Ruien und Waregem) und landschaftliche Ausblicke wechseln sich schön ab. Nach einem möglichen Stopp auf dem Kirchplatz von Ingooigem beim Denkmal von Stijn Streuvels folgt ein recht gut befahrbarer, abwärts verlaufender Schotterweg. Ansonsten ist die gesamte Route schön asphaltiert.
