Comano ist eine politische Gemeinde im Kreis Vezia, im Bezirk Lugano des Kantons Tessin in der Schweiz.
Im Jahr 1159 wird das Dorf erstmals als Cumano schriftlich erwähnt. Im Mittelalter besass hier das Kloster San Pietro in Ciel d’Oro von Pavia eine Hube mit Wiesen, Feldern und Rebbergen. Die Kirche Santa Maria della Purificazione wurde im Jahre 1359 geweiht. 1976 wurden die Studios des Fernsehens der italienischsprachigen Schweiz nach Comano verlegt.
