Jetzt ist dies vielleicht ein interessantes Theater, aber der Stein links vom Eingang, der mit dem grünen Belag, darum geht es hier. Dieser Gedenkstein für Marinus van der Lubbe wurde hier im Jahr 2000 von zwei niederländischen Künstlern aufgestellt. Darauf steht ein Fragment eines Gedichts, das dieser junge Antifaschist in deutscher Gefangenschaft schrieb. Dieses Kunstwerk besteht insgesamt aus drei identischen Steinen. Es ist derselbe Typ Stein, aus dem der Reichstag gebaut wurde. Ein Exemplar befindet sich in Leiden, der Geburtsstadt von van der Lubbe, und das dritte befindet sich in Leipzig, wo er getötet wurde.
