Lichtenfels ist eine Sammelgemeinde im Nordwesten des nordhessischen Landkreis Waldeck-Frankenberg . Die Gemeinde führt den Titel „Stadt“, den sie von ihren Untergemeinden Sachsenberg und Fürstenberg geerbt hat; der Verwaltungssitz befindet sich indes im größten Ortsteil Goddelsheim. In Lichtenfels liegt der Großteil der Waldeckischen Schweiz.
