Dörentrup [ˈdœːɐntʁʊp] ist eine Gemeinde im Nordosten Nordrhein-Westfalens. Mit 7630 Einwohnern ist Dörentrup die bevölkerungsärmste Kommune des Kreises Lippe.
Das Gemeindegebiet zählt naturräumlich zum Lipper Bergland. Bewaldete Kuppen und intensiv landwirtschaftlich genutzte Täler prägen das Landschaftsbild. Größter Fluss ist die das Gemeindegebiet von Ost nach West durchziehende Bega. Dörentrup liegt im Naturpark Teutoburger Wald/Eggegebirge. Schwelentrup und Hillentrup sind Erholungsorte mit Kurpark.
