Creuzburg ist der größte und namensgebende Ortsteil der Kleinstadt Amt Creuzburg im Wartburgkreis in Thüringen und Sitz der Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Hainich-Werratal. Creuzburg ist durch die Burg Creuzburg weithin bekannt.
Creuzburg liegt zwischen Ringgau im Westen, Hainich im Osten, Thüringer Wald im Süden und Eichsfeld im Norden. Es befindet sich rund zwei Kilometer östlich der ehemaligen Innerdeutschen Grenze bzw. der hessischen Grenze am Ufer der Werra. Markante Berge und Erhebungen säumen das Werratal bei Creuzburg, zu ihnen gehören der Wisch und der Brückenberg in Stadtnähe, der Große Pferdsberg, der Entenberg, der Schlierberg und der Tellberg bei Wilhelmsglücksbrunn.
