In den Jahren 1937 bis 1940 wird von vier Kindern aus Heede berichtet, dass ihnen auf dem alten Friedhof die Muttergottes mit dem Jesuskind erschienen sei. Seit dieser Zeit ist Heede ein Ort des Gebets und der Nähe zu Gott. Tausende Gläubige verehren hier die Gottesmutter als Königin des Weltalls und der armen Seelen.
