Das Rote Luch ist der höchstgelegene Teil der eiszeitlichen Rinne, die das Berliner Urstromtal bei Erkner mit dem Oderbruch im Eberswalder Urstromtal bei Neutrebbin verbindet und die nordwestlich gelegene Hochfläche des Barnim von der südöstlich gelegenen des Landes Lebus trennt.
