Mukrena ist ein Ortsteil von Könnern in Sachsen-Anhalt. Das Dorf liegt rechts der Saale gegenüber der Stadt Alsleben .
Mukrena liegt im Harzvorland und somit im Regenschatten des Harzes und leidet unter Wassermangel. Mit weniger als 500 mm Jahresniederschlag registriert dieses Gebiet die niedrigsten Niederschläge in Sachsen-Anhalt.
Die Saale ist hier nur ganz schwach eingesenkt. Der Unterpegel der Saaleschleuse im Ort beträgt 60,01 m NN, und der Radeberg hat eine Höhe von 102,9 m ü. NHN.
Der Name Mukrena kommt aus dem Sorbischen, mok = nass, auf deutsch etwa nasse Wiese oder nasser Wald.
