Klein Mühlen war eine Siedlung auf dem heutigen Gebiet der Stadt Bad Schwartau , die sich um eine Wassermühle an der aufgestauten Clever Au herum entwickelt hatte. Der Damm des - bis heute vorhandenen - Mühlenteiches war an einer Furt durch die Clever Au aufgeschüttet worden.
Die Siedlung gehörte zu dem Dorf Rensefeld, war jedoch ca. einen Kilometer entfernt und entwickelte sich zu einer Handwerkersiedlung. Ab 1900 wurde Klein Mühlen von dem wachsenden Schwartau, Rensefeld sowie Cleverbrück zunehmend eingeschlossen und ist heute mit diesen verwachsen.
