Birkenfeld ist ein Gemeindeteil der Kreisstadt Neustadt an der Aisch im Landkreis Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim .
Das Kirchdorf liegt an der Aisch. 0,25 km südwestlich des Ortes liegt das Flurgebiet Binsenbusch, 1 km südwestlich erhebt sich der mit dem Klausberg . Die Bundesstraße 470 führt nach Neustadt bzw. nach Dietersheim . Die auf eine 1904 gebaute hochwasserfreie Straße zurückgehende Kreisstraße NEA 6 führt nach Schauerheim bzw. nach Weiherhof . Eine Gemeindeverbindungsstraße führt nach Stöckach .
