Gorxheim ist der nach der Einwohnerzahl kleinste, gleichwohl aber namensgebende Ortsteil der Gemeinde Gorxheimertal im südhessischen Kreis Bergstraße. Im östlichen Tal der Gemarkung zwischen Gorxheim und dem Ortsteil Unter-Flockenbach liegt der historische Weiler Kunzenbach.
Gorxheim liegt im Odenwald am Grundelbach, der von Osten kommend durch alle Ortsteile von Gorxheimertal fließt und direkt hinter Gorxheim die Landesgrenze von Hessen nach Baden-Württemberg passiert. Südlich der Ortslage, auch jenseits der Landesgrenze, liegt der offenbar für den Ort Namen gebende 312 Meter hohe Gorxenkopf. Weinheim an der Bergstraße ist in westlicher Richtung nur rund zwei Kilometer von Gorxheim entfernt.
