Urús ist bereits im Jahr 839 in einem Schriftstück der Konsekration von La Seu d’Urgell unter dem Namen Oruz überliefert. Der Ort gehörte zu den Ländern der Grafen der Cerdanya und des Klosters Sant Miquel de Cuixà.
