Matalascañas – oder auch Playa de Matalascañas – ist ein spanischer Ferienort am Atlantik. Der Ort wird auch oft als Torre de la Higuera wiedergegeben. Er gehört zum Gemeindegebiet von Almonte.Matalascañas wurde in den 1970er Jahren als Urbanisation direkt am Nationalpark Coto de Doñana in der Provinz Huelva errichtet. Am Anfang diente es den Spaniern – meist aus Sevilla – nur als Sommerferien-Domizil, inzwischen gibt es aber das ganze Jahr über Angebote. Insbesondere Golfer finden hier eine der wenigen „umweltverträglichen Golfanlagen“ Spaniens direkt am Nationalpark.
