Über die Anstiege des Alto de Turron Duro (steil bis 14%) und des sanften Puerto de Ares gelangst du schließlich ins Hinterland von Costa Blanca. Über hügelige Straßen radelst du dann in Richtung des Dorfes Planes, wo eine Burgruine auf einem Hügel liegt. Durch eine sehr schöne Umgebung fährst du auf eine Höhe von 620 Metern (Alto del Margarida), und anschließend fährst du über Puerto de Tollos (bis 14%), Castel de Castells und den Anstieg des Collado de Bixauca zurück in Richtung Benidorm.
