Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche ist eine südwestfranzösische Stadt und eine aus zahlreichen Dörfern und Weilern bestehende Gemeinde mit 6.718 Einwohnern im Département Haute-Vienne in der Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine.Die Kleinstadt liegt in einem bach- und seenreichen Gebiet gut 42 km südlich von Limoges bzw. ca. 61 km nordöstlich von Périgueux in einer Höhe von ca. 365 m. Im Norden der Gemeinde entspringt der ca. 50 Kilometer lange Fluss Loue, ein Nebenfluss der Isle. Das Klima ist gemäßigt bis warm; Regen fällt überwiegend im Winterhalbjahr.
