Troyes [tʀwa] ist eine Gemeinde mit 61.957 Einwohnern im Nordosten Frankreichs und Verwaltungssitz des Départements Aube in der Region Grand Est. Troyes liegt an der Seine.Troyes war der Hauptort des Keltenstammes der Tricassen und wurde von den Römern Augustobona Tricassium oder Augustomana Tricassiorum genannt . Im 4. Jahrhundert wurde die Stadt Bischofssitz . Westlich von Troyes fand 451 die Schlacht auf den Katalaunischen Feldern zwischen Attila und Aëtius statt.
