Die ehemalige Benediktinerabteikirche Saint-Austremoine liegt in der französischen Stadt Issoire in der Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes im Département Puy-de-Dôme am Fluss Allier und 37 km südlich von Clermont-Ferrand.
Saint-Austremoine gehört zu den sechs Hauptkirchen der romanischen auvergnatischen Bauschule in der Basse-Auvergne , einer Landschaft um die Stadt Clermont-Ferrand. Es handelt sich um die Kirchen : Saint-Saturnin, Saint-Nectaire, Notre-Dame d’Orcival, Notre-Dame-du-Port de Clermont-Ferrand, Mozac, und Saint-Austremoine d’Issoire. Die Mutterkirche dieses Stiltypus war die vorromanische Kathedrale von Clermont-Ferrand, die einem gotischen Neubau weichen musste. Diese Kirchen weisen zahlreiche Ähnlichkeiten auf, so dass man annehmen kann, dass sie von demselben Baumeister erschaffen wurden.
