Radfahren an der Planche des Belles Filles, einem Gipfel der Vogesen, der das Territoire de Belfort und die Haute-Saône überragt, wird seit den 1990er Jahren wettkampfmäßig mit der Trois Balls Cyclosportive praktiziert. Sie erlangte ab den frühen 2010er Jahren Bekanntheit dank der Tour de France, deren Planche des Belles Filles zu einem "Klassiker", ja sogar zu einem "Must" geworden ist, mit sechs Anstiegen zwischen 2012 und 2022.
