10 km nordöstlich von Charleville-Mézières beherbergt NEUFMANIL 1 228 "Néomesniliens", die "Crayats" genannt werden (Crayat ist eine Gießereischlacke)Neufmanil wurde 1769 an Frankreich angeschlossen. Das 1940 evakuierte Dorf wurde stark beschädigt (das "Schloss" wurde 1941 zerstört). Ein vom Wald "umzingeltes" Dorf ... : Dieser Wald, der sich über etwa 420 Hektar erstreckt, besteht aus edlen Baumarten (Eiche, Buche, Hainbuche, aber auch Birke). Die Gemeinde legt großen Wert darauf, ihren Einwohnern und Besuchern ein sauberes und blühendes Lebensumfeld zu bieten, und das im Sommer wie im Winter. Mit seinen rund zwanzig Vereinen ist das Dorf reich an Veranstaltungen.
