Bolton Abbey ist ein Dorf und eine Stadtgemeinde im Bezirk Craven in North Yorkshire, England, 22 Meilen nordwestlich von Leeds. Das Dorf liegt im Wharfedale, nahe dem südlichen Rand des Yorkshire Dales Nationalparks und nördlich der Grenze zu West Yorkshire.
Das Dorf hat seinen Namen von dem Kloster, das jetzt allgemein als Bolton Priory bekannt ist, und grenzt an das Bolton Abbey Estate, das die Klosterruinen umfasst und über die Gemeindegrenzen hinausgeht. Die Kirche von Bolton Priory ist jetzt die Pfarrkirche von Bolton Abbey.
