Porthmadog ist eine kleine Stadt und Community in der Region Eifionydd in Gwynedd, Wales. Sie wird umgangssprachlich auch "Port" genannt, eine verkürzte Form der bis 1974 offiziellen englischen Bezeichnung Portmadoc. Vor dem Inkrafttreten des Local Government Act 1972 gehörte sie zum County Caernarfonshire. Die Stadt liegt 8 km östlich von Criccieth, 18 km südwestlich von Blaenau Ffestiniog, 40 km nördlich von Dolgellau und 32 km südlich von Caernarfon. Sie hat 4107 Einwohner .
